5 Things Not to Miss At The Taste of London Festival - William Murray

Every year Regent’s Park is transformed into a treasure trove of foodie delights during the Taste of London festival (14th-18th June). As always, there are so many amazing treats in store that it’s tricky to narrow down which stalls should be a top priority. But there’s no need to fear, we’re here to help with some of our absolute must sees.

For some truly Instagrammable snaps, we recommend Brixton favourites Kricket. Hot off the heels of their barnstorming Soho restaurant opening, the folks at Kricket are going to be gracing Taste with some Indian-Britain small plates that will leave all of your followers seething with jealousy. Dishes include samphire pakoras, Keralan fried chicken and their icon dish: a Cornish crab meen moilee.

Senor Ceviche

If we’re lucky enough to be blessed with sun, make sure to swing by Señor Ceviche for their fantastic chifa chicharrones, marinated beef short rib buns and cocktails featuring Peru’s national spirit, Pisco. The restaurant’s fun-loving, laid back attitude is the perfect environment for a hot summer’s day.

Pitching their tent for one day only (Wednesday 14th June), this chance to taste the fare at Portland is an unmissable opportunity. Awarded a Michelin star just nine months after their opening in January 2015, the restaurant has been receiving rave reviews ever since. Described by AA Gill as “all of the best of modern eating, with the nonsense, pretension and snobbery left out”, you can look forward to a short and snappy menu including cured Arctic char, barbecued duck hearts and whipped cod’s roe.

Tom Kerridge

Fans of celeb spotting should also definitely pencil in some time to catch Tom Kerridge at the AEG Taste Theatre on Wednesday 14th at 9.00pm. Having appeared on shows such as Master Chef, Great British Menu and Market Kitchen he’s sure to draw big crowds. So book your tickets now to make sure you don’t miss out.

The Taste Residence

Or, if you’re really looking to spoil yourself, book a session at the Taste Residence for an intimate dining experience ‘designed, dressed and delivered’ by world leading chefs, including Alex Atala of 2 Michelin-starred Sao Paulo restaurant D.O.M. and 2017’s World’s Best Female Chef Ana Roš. Curated by Time Magazine’s number one ‘God of Food’, Andrea Petrini, and hosted by the enigmatic Paulo de Tarso of Margot Restaurant, the Taste Residency is set to be a one-of-a-kind experience.
